I thought I would introduce you to our cats Boots (male - black) and Flossie (female - ginger):
They are both about 9 months old. We got them just before Christmas last year when they were only 6 weeks old.
We've always had cats and we had 2 before we went to Indonesia but we couldn't take them with us so we had to give them away. I found the whole thing a bit upsetting. They were probably about 5 years old. When we came back, I didn't really want to get any more cats because I didn't want to get attached again. Robin was keen to get some more as soon as we got back but I needed some time. Anyway after about 12 months I decided I was ready to get some cats so Aaron and I went to the local RSPCA and picked out 2 delightful kittens. I'm very glad we did because they certainly bring something to our home. They are both so different in personality. Boots is very laid back and will sit on anyone's lap but Flossie is very temperamental and runs when anyone new comes around. She even runs away when Aaron comes over.
Boots has a thing about socks. He's always getting into Robin's cupboard and pulling out his socks. We find them all over the house. A couple of weeks ago he proudly climbed our side fence with a sock in his mouth. It was the next door neighbour's two year old's son sock. It must have fallen off the clothesline. It was a bit awkward having to say 'Sorry but our cat stole your sock'. Fortunately they have a sense of humour.
Wildcraft Farm's workbook Make your own lanyard has got me really interested. I have read it through and picked out my fabric and will start putting a lanyard together in the next couple of days. Watch this space!
Jennifer Knol has another lovely new pattern Daisy Sewing Folder. I thoroughly enjoyed making her Quilters Roll (see it in my projects) and so have decided this one is a must do for me.
So much to do and so little time.
Until next time
