It was my birthday yesterday and because of all the moving that's going on here it was going to be a low-key affair. Robin is already in Brisbane, Matt is overseas, and Aaron is now living in Sydney which meant that I would be alone for my birthday. I had decided to go to the movies but then Aaron rang on Monday and said he had the day off and suggested I go up there for the day. So that's what I did. I flew up in the morning and we spent the day wandering around - we went on a couple of ferry rides, lunched at Darling Harbour, and had a quick look at the shops. I then flew home again last night. It was a really nice day.
Because it was my birthday and what's a birthday without presents, I'm going to have a giveaway.
Glad Bag full...
This is how my Glad Bag looks at the moment. Full of knitting.
My latest knitting project - rug - or rather the wool for the rug - is in residence. You can just see the actual knitting at the top of the bag.
My Glad Bag is my favourite bag. It is nice and roomy, has a good sized pocket on the front (holds my blooming wallet nicely), another good sized pocket on the back (holds my pattern), and the drawstrings mean that everything stays in place. Inside the bag there are 2 other pockets that I store my stitched holders and other bits and pieces in.
For me, my Glad Bag ticks all the boxes for a useful project bag.
Giveaway...
What's your favourite bag and why? Just write a comment between now and Friday and you will go into the draw to win a copy of the Glad Bag pattern.
Until next time
Lyn
Any bag is a favourite of mine Lyn. I follow your blog closely, loving your projects and patterns. However, my all-time fav bag is my patchwork bag I take to classes. It has several pockets on the outside, is very roomy to fit all my bits and pieces and is pretty to look out. I always seem to get lovely comments about it. It's actually very similar to yours. Please count me in the draw, Lyn and happy birthday for yesterday!!

Happy Birthday, Lyn! Sounds like you had a very nice day. Your bag is cute. My favorite bag is a small black and white one that carries little busy stitching projects for when I'm sitting in a waiting room or the like.

Hi Lyn, Happy Birthday glad to hear you had a nice day in Sydney. I have two favourite bags the first one was made for me by my SIL and is green which is one of my favourite colours and has lovely silk ribbon daisies on it and is a perfect size for taking a bit of stitchery whenever I go anywhere. The other is a large Gail Pan pattern the name escapes me at the moment but I fill it up to the brim - it holds a lot and take it with me when I go out or it sits next to my chair.
Cheers Sue

Happy Birthday! It sounds like you had a wonderful day! My favorite bag is a bucket type one that I made for myself. It has a large pocket on the outside and a segmented pocket on the inside. It snaps closed and has a short handle. It's just perfect for taking projects around and it stands up too!

Hartelijk gefeliciteerd, Lyn!
My favorite bag ~ you won't believe this, but it is a fabric bag you can roll up and put in your purse, so that you always have a bag with you and don't have to use a plastic bag when you go shopping. It is so much friendlier for the environment!
I don't know if you stil have Friday. We do. It's 8.50 pm here now.
Have a lovely weekend!

My favorite bag is a pre-quilted tote that I made a long time ago. It is about wore out and I think it is time to make a new one.
I have just gotten my blog set up thanks to my daughter and am really enjoying seeing what others are doing.
