Welcome Friend is a handy sewing caddy (10" tall) and a matching needlecase both with Rosalie's lovely stitchery designs.

New Books...
I bought myself a couple of new books this week. The first one is from Kim Diehl.
I already have the rest of Kim's 'Simple' books (Simple Blessings, Simple Seasons and Simple Traditions) and although I've never actually made anything from them, I love to look through them. All of her projects are just beautiful.
This book is just as good as the others and I find myself gazing longingly at all of the projects.
There's a mixture of pieced and applique quilts, all of them lap size.
Kim does all of her applique by machine using monofilament thread which is probably why she can make so many! It truly is a lovely book.
The trouble with having a knitting group in a yarn store is that there isn't only yarn to tempt but books as well.
This one is a new knitting book from Debbie Abrahams called More Blankets and Throws. I already have her Blankets and Throws book and like the Kim Diehl books, I have never made any of the projects but love to look at them.
This is a sample of the throws in the book. Isn't it beautiful?
