There's a shop in our local mall called T2 that sells tea of all types. I never ever went into the shop because I tended to stick to Twinings tea and I don't like flavoured teas. But at Tangled Yarns, the tea they use is T2 and I found myself enjoying the English Breakfast.
A couple of weeks ago I ventured into the shop to buy some tea. I saw this lovely red basket on the shelf and it really got my attention.
I opened it up and inside was this delightful little tea set. I just had to buy it.
I thought it would look really cute on the bench in my studio. And it does. Except it looks a bit bare. I tried different little quilts under it but decided that it was so special it needed it's own little quilt.
So, that's my next project. I'm going to call it Tea Time Baskets.
I had some of the lovely Rural Jardine fabric left from another fabric and the blues, pinks and reds really contrast beautifully with the little tea set.I bought a pack of 5" charm squares to use as well and am going to add some basket stitchery blocks. The stitchery fabric is the same linen I used in Family Blessings quilt.
I've been stitching the baskets at night and should have them finished by the end of the week.
I think the little quilt will 'show-off' my little tea set.
Until next time
