I have finally finished sewing together the snowball blocks and have my quilt all pinned up ready for quilting.
I decided not to add a border but will just bind it. I have to confess that while sewing those little triangle pieces to the corners, I started to doubt if this quilt would turn out very well at all. But when I lay out all the blocks I started to get more and more enthused about it and in the end decided that I'm very pleased with it.
Some of the fabrics used are the last of a favourite piece and it's nice to see them used up instead of forgotten about.
I intend to machine quilt in a large stipple design - the way I seem to finish off most of my quilts.
More Noddy...
I'm pleased to report that my Noddy book collection is growing with some more arrivals this week.
I now have 15 of the 24 books but am finding that the remaining ones are a little more difficult to come by. But in this regard I'm very patient and am willing to wait for a 'good' one to turn up.
Aaron asked me the other day if I can start collecting Tin Tin books for him. I remembered then how much both boys loved those books and would borrow them from the local library all the time. They don't hold any particular charm for me but maybe I can collect them as a surprise for Aaron. Will wait until my Noddy collection is complete before I made a decision.
Until next time
Lyn
