The sun came out today so I was able to take a photo of my House and Garden quilt. Unfortunately my camera broke down in the middle of it but my Iphone came to the rescue!
I made mine from a layer cake but being a scrappy quilt, you can easily make it from your stash. I joined strips to make the inside borders as well as the bindings. I also pieced some of the squares together for the backing. In the end, I only had a couple of squares left over.
Because it's all done in redwork, it made the stitcheries really quick and easy to make. A very portable little project.
The pattern is only in printed format and is available on my website.
I have to admit that I don't do cold very well - makes me wonder how I lived in Canberra for so long! But, I do like a bit of winter and especially like being able to wear a woolly jumper and scarf. I also like winter foods like thick pumpkin soup with fresh bread. Cuddling up under a nice quilt in the evenings with a good book is also a favourite thing to do.
What do you like about winter? Or maybe dislike? Just leave a comment between now and Monday afternoon and you will go in the draw to win a copy of House and Garden pattern.
Until next time
