A couple of weeks back I bought two charm packs.
The other one is Gypsy Girl by Lily Ashbury. I was taken by the freshness of these fabrics. They are a little bit different than what I would usually use but they just remind me of spring with the bright pinks and blues. As I played with them Pinwheels came to mind so I have been busy making lots of Pinwheel blocks.
When I started I wasn't entirely sure what I was going to make but have decided on a small table quilt to brighten up our deck. I will add some applique flowers to give it a springtime feel and that's what I'm going to call it - Springtime.
The Marmalade charm squares are still sitting on my work table - not sure what I will make with those yet.
I'm totally hooked. Fortunately I'm an early riser and the first thing I do is switch on the tv. I cried this morning when Emily Seebohm started to cry after she won silver. I didn't cry because I was disappointed (I wasn't - I think she's a legend) - I cried because she thought she had let everyone down. Not a chance!
Until next time
