I started another baby cardigan - this one is from my niece whose baby is due in March.
I found this pattern book in Spotlight - Beautiful Baby by Panda.
It's got some lovely little outfits complete with leggings and hats. Some of them are more suitable for girls but I found little cardigan with moss stitch bands and yoke. For the yarn, I chose the yarn suggested in the book - Magnum Soft 8ply. It's an acrylic yarn and I thought it might make it easier for my niece to launder than wool. Once I started knitting I had second thoughts but now that it's almost finished, I've changed my mind and think it will be okay. It's very soft and the 8ply makes the knitting go much faster.
Knitting for babies is so quick. I knit 2 sleeves while we were driving to the coast the other day. The pattern has been easy to follow except that it's knit in pieces and now I have to sew them all together. I've become so used to knitting from the neck down that the prospect of sewing it up fills me with dread especially because the pieces are small-ish. Next time I will have to choose the pattern more carefully.
Until next time
Lyn
Looks lovely. Jumper on the cover of book looks gorgeous.

lol, that's the traditional way of knitting we have here, it's very rare to get patterns that knit in the round, or from the neck down here.
It's a lovely colour, and I really like the moss stitch borders, so much nicer than ribbing

There's nothing nicer than knitting baby garments.
This little sweater looks adorable.
