After finishing my Summertime quilt, I still had quite a lot of Bonnie and Camille's fabrics left in my stash. It seemed a shame to have them wasting away there so I looked for something to make with them.
I found a nice tablerunner in the book Country Thread Goes to Charm School.
This one is called - Eat Soup with the Side of Your Spoon. I found that I had enough charm squares and other pieces to cut into 5" squares to make the tablerunner as well as a larger piece of a green print that would be suitable as the binding.
There is probably enough left over to join together for the backing fabric as well.
The blocks are simple but interesting. You cut the charm squares in half; join 2 different pieces together and then cut that piece into triangles. You then mix them around and rejoin 2 triangle halves together. You end up with an interesting half-triangle block.
The blocks were quick and easy to make and what made them even more interesting was joining them together randomly. Now, I just have to join the blocks together. A nice quick project.
Until next time
