I've been working on the stitchery designs for my I Pouches pattern.
Do you know the rule "Measure twice cut once"? Well, I had finished the stitchery design for the I Phone cover and trimmed it down to the size I (thought) wanted but when I started assembling it I realised I had cut it too small. There was no way I could change it to fit the design, so I had to stitch it all again!
The second time, I took a bit more care and cut it down to the right size!
Will follow my own advice in future and "Measure twice and cut once".
In the mean time, I've been working on the Family Blessings quilt for my newsletter (see the sidebar for details).
It's amazing to think that with all the people in the world there are no two people exactly the same. Not only do we look different, but we have different talents and abilities and personalities. The Bible says that when we come to Christ we form one body (Romans 12:4, 1Cor 12:12) with each of us having a part. Just like our physical body can't function properly if a part is injured or missing, the Body of Christ can't fulfill its function if we don't do what we are meant to do. You don't have to try to be someone else or do what they are doing but just be who God made you to be.
Until next time
