Another little Alphabet Girl finished. This one was in honour of my cats - Flossie and Boots.
I stitched this one on blue Aida - it's actually 'quite' blue even though in this picture it looks more grey!
I'm starting to see a little progress in this project now and while before it seemed like an impossible feat, it's starting to feel more achievable.
The other day I even started thinking about the quilt I would make with the squares. I keep looking at the lovely Tilda fabric I bought recently and think that it would be perfect for this project. But then I had a reality check and realised that it's still probably 12 months before I get the cross stitch finished. It's just a bit too early to be thinking about fabric and blocks, etc.
In the meantime I chose my next block - S for Sewing. Again I will stitch on blue Aida. I've actually stitched the 'S' girl once before and used her for a pocket on a project bag which just happens to be the one I'm using for this project. Last time I stitched her on green Aida so will see if the 'blue' makes her look any less/more cute!
I bought a copy of Leanne Beasley's Vignette magazine the other day.
The magazine also has a couple of other lovely projects and a yummy recipe. Leanne also highlights some local patchwork shops which I think is a really nice idea. As much as I like to buy things on-line I really appreciate my local shops and try to support them as much as possible.
It's great little magazine.
Until next time
