Today is the 21st June which means that to date I have added 20 new crochet hexagons to my basket! Yes, I have been keeping up with my resolve to make one a day and weave in the ends as I go.
The hexagons are approximately 4" with only four rounds. The colours I have are green, yellow, pink - as shown in this one - as well as aqua, brown, light pink, mauve, and red. Each hexagon is edged in navy blue and I will use the red to do an edging around the whole blanket. I think I might need some more yarn and think that an orange would be nice but will wait until I see how this lot goes.
I'm really enjoying getting back into crochet again and look forward to seeing my rug all finished.
Scrap Basket Sampler...
I've made slow progress on my Scrap Basket Sampler quilt and have only made two blocks.
I started at the front of the book (200 Quilt Blocks by Davina Thomas) and the first block is the Snowball Block (on the right). It was a nice easy block to begin with. The second block is the Four-Patch Chain (on the left) and that was easy too. In the book each block is given a rating from easy to difficult and both of these were rated 'easy'. The most difficult are the curved piecing blocks. Think I'll work my way up to them.
Until next time
